The bouquet offers baking spices, berry and vanilla in large doses, while the palate is ample, fresh and fairly racy. High-pitched, slightly medicinal aromas of blackberry, mint and pepper, with suggestions of woodsmoke and tobacco. Supple, ripe and sweet, with rather suave flavors of plum, currant, licorice and tobacco, accented by cinnamon and clove. Began a tad green but opened nicely with aeration, showing good length and a mineral character. 88 Points - May 15, 2006 "Spicy and ripe, with red plum and currant fruit followed by a racy graphite edge on the finish." November, 2006 A peppery spiciness combines with ripe red-fruit flavors in this Bordeaux-style blend, an impressive second-vintage effort from this new winery in Argentina’s Mendoza province. September, 2006 Medium bodied and smoky with black currant, licorice, tar, coffee grounds, and tobacco; soft mouth-feel with dense finish. Exceptional - July 13, 2006 A huge mouthful of red wine. Fresh herb/cherry aroma with clear notes of French oak, and a soft tannin structure: a prototype "international" wine. February 16, 2006 Full-bodied and complex, it’s the most interesting of the wines from the initial bottling. A very strong effort, and worthy of the price.
